Everyday spending by Russian consumers continues to decline

The total daily expenses of Russian citizens continued to decline in September, the Romir report noted. 

In August of this year, the total daily expenses of Russians decreased by 0,6%, in September the trend continued to decline, citizens' expenses decreased by 1,3%.

In annual terms, total expenses, however, showed growth, which amounted to 3,3% and almost coincided with the official inflation accumulated since September last year at 3%. 

In September, analysts also noted a general decrease in purchasing activity. The overall reduction in costs with a growing average check may indicate a slight decrease in the frequency of shopping.
