A new retail video analytics system has appeared

The new software that analyzes the behavior of customers in stores was developed by VideoIntellect, a member of the Skolkovo IT cluster, writes Retail.ru.

The system records the buyer's interest in purchasing goods and sends a signal to the seller on the phone using a mobile application. At the end of the working day, the store manager receives statistics on the work of staff with customers. Sales conversions are expected to increase by roughly 10%.

The system is currently being tested in the sporting goods store "Intersport" in the city of Dubna in order to assess its efficiency and coherence of work under various seasonal store loads. The system is integrated into the cameras available in the store; from the equipment, only a computing server and a monitor for viewing have been added. According to Andrey Burakov, director of the Intersport store, with the installation of the system, the sellers have become more attentive to their customers.
