South Korean brand Post Archive Faction (PAF) will be a guest designer at the next international men's fashion fair Pitti Uomo in Florence. The brand will be present at Pitti Uomo along with Homme Plissé guest of honor Issey Miyake and Italian designer Niccolò Pasqualetti.
PAF was founded in 2018 by Sukyo Jeon and Dongjun Lim, who serves as its creative director (he was a semi-finalist for the LVMH Prize in 2021). The brand stands out for its revolutionary and experimental approach to deconstructing clothes. PAF's style is characterized by asymmetrical constructions, crinkled fabric effects, patterned cutouts, and offset panels.
For us, PAF is interesting for its collaborations with shoe brands. For example, with the sneaker brand On (the result is in the photo in the slider).
The South Korean brand is stocked in 75 multi-brand retail stores worldwide, including Printemps, Dover Street Market, Ssense, H.Lorenzo and GR8, as well as its own online store and flagship store in Seoul.
“For several seasons, we have paid particular attention to the culture and aesthetics of South Korea. It is a growing market, very important for Italian fashion and for the shows – given the influx of journalists and buyers at Pitti Uomo – but also a fertile territory for finding new generations of stylists and young creatives who stand out for their versatility and ability to establish links between different languages and artistic fields,” commented Lapo Cianchi, Director of Communications and Events at Pitti Immagine, in a press release.
