While the market for sports shoes is booming, sales of sports shoes are on the decline, writes Worldfootwear, citing an NPD Group analysis report.
Sales of shoes for sports - for running, tennis, football, baseball, basketball in the second quarter of 2018 of the year fell by 5% and amounted to $ 1,7 billion, the report of the analytical agency NPD group says. In contrast, sales of casual sports shoes and boots grew by 7,9% to $ 2,9 billion.
At the same time, analysts note a decrease in consumer interest in sports shoes in retro design, although Fila, Puma and Reebok still allow the market to grow, due to the return of interest in their cult models of past years.
