Sales in the section Wildberries "Made in Russia" increased by 132% over the week

The largest online retailer in Russia, Wildberries, recorded a significant increase in sales of domestically produced goods after the launch of the division of goods of Russian brands or manufactured in the Russian Federation. The volume of orders for Russian brands in the first week of the Made in Russia project (April 14-21, 2022) increased by 132% yoy to RUB 33,4 billion. 

“We are encouraged by the first results of the Made in Russia project: citizens are buying goods from domestic brands with great interest. More and more Russian entrepreneurs are joining our initiative, for whom there is a great opportunity to expand their consumer audience and increase sales, ”the Wildberries press service said. 

Most often, Russians buy clothes, cosmetics, food, shoes, textiles and home improvement accessories, children's goods, and household chemicals from domestic brands. 

Sports shoes are among the most dynamically growing categories. It is noted that sales of sports shoes increased by 239%. More than 10 Russian companies participate in the project, about 000 shoe brands are represented in the “Made in Russia” section, including O'Shade, Strobbs, Highlander, Klavier, Zebra, Dina Grata, Toddler, Gentle Queen, YouMe, Sabiano, Muzza, Affex, Torsion Field, CapriceElite, Meteora Original.

All brands created or invented in our country can join the Made in Russia project.

Wildberries is the largest online retailer in Russia, operating on the market for 17 years. The geography of the company's presence covers all regions of Russia, as well as a number of foreign countries, including Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan, etc. Turnover of Wildberries in 2021 grew by 93% and reached 844 billion rubles. Every day, 4 million orders are placed on Wildberries, the monthly audience of the online retailer is over 113 million users (MAU).

As of April 2022, over 650 Russian entrepreneurs sell their goods through Wildberries. The Wildberries range includes about 000 million SKUs of goods from 28 Russian and foreign brands: clothing and footwear, accessories, beauty products, children's products, appliances and electronics, household goods, jewelry, food, books, digital goods and much more . About 300% of goods are produced in Russia.
