OrthoLite has expanded its manufacturing facility in India, in Ambur, with a new sales office in Chennai. OrthoLite India was established in 2021, and the Ambur facility has now increased its production capacity to two million insoles per month, with the addition of leather insoles.
OrthoLite India is one of six vertically integrated OrthoLite facilities worldwide and plays a key role in the company’s global manufacturing strategy. The Indian region is important to the company as it is home to 61 of the OrthoLite brand’s more than 550 global partners.
In June 2023, OrthoLite appointed Vikash Bajargian as CEO of OrthoLite India, marking a turning point for the company. He oversees manufacturing, business development, and partnerships with brands and tier-XNUMX manufacturing partners.
"Vikash is a strong leader who will help us rapidly grow our business to meet the growing demand in this important region. India is an important market for both domestic consumption and exports. The expanded OrthoLite facility will be a hub for leather insole manufacturing and will be the home of many future innovations for our company," said OrthoLite CEO Glenn Barrett.
