Shoe production is growing in Bashkiria

Bashkortostanstat summed up the economic results of five months. Among the industrial sectors in which growth is observed in this region, there is a shoe and leather industry. 

If we compare the results of 5 months of this and last year, in Bashkiria the growth in the production of leather, leather goods and footwear amounted to 123,4%. In general, the industrial production index in Bashkiria (100,5%) exceeded the national average - 100,1% (against January-May 2015). In the regions of the Volga Federal District, this indicator varied from 87,5% in the Republic of Mordovia to 114,6% in the Chuvash Republic. In Tatarstan, this figure was 102,9%. Bashkiria ranked fifth among 14 regions of the Volga Federal District.
