On October 1, Reebok unveiled the first ever running shoe made entirely from plant materials. The model is called the Reebok Forever Floatride GROW and is an updated version of the Forever Floatride Energy sneaker.
The midsole is made from castor oil, the upper is made from eucalyptus and algae, and the rubber outsole is made from real rubber trees rather than the petroleum-based rubber commonly found in other products.
Reebok promises that its new plant-based sneakers will perform as well as other models of the brand with similar level, they have light cushioning and durability, qualities that runners especially appreciate.
The Forever Floatride Grow Sneakers have been available October 1 at Reebok and Reebok.com for RUB 9999.
