The retail chain of shoes and accessories Rendez-Vous will take part in the Afisha Picnic music festival with a shoe recycling program that was launched in all stores in April this year.
The Afisha Picnic Festival will take place in Moscow in Kolomenskoye Park on 3 August. Rendez-Vous will offer guests and participants of the festival the opportunity to hand over any unnecessary pair of shoes for recycling right at the festival. In return for the surrendered shoes, project participants will receive a discount on their next purchase, which can also be made right on the spot. At the Picnic it will be possible to buy sneakers, slates, sandals, backpacks, as well as belt bags with the symbols of the festival.
This year, The Cure has been announced as the headliner of the annual Afisha Picnic Festival.
Rendez-Vous has launched a shoe recycling program to support the trend towards smart consumption, which has now taken over the whole world and is especially evident in companies involved in the fashion business.
Rendez-Vous notes that since the start of the shoe recycling program, the chain has collected 47 pairs of old shoes and sent them for recycling. The old footwear was used to produce crumb for safe coatings of children's and sports grounds.
