Rendez-Vous released a video about the production and collaboration with the Artel of the Blessed

Rendez-Vous has released a video about its own sewing production facility for the Maison David brand in Russia, which employs people with disabilities. Launching its own sewing factory in Russia in 2025, the Russian retailer signed a contract with the social enterprise "Artel of the Blessed." Artel's artisans—people with disabilities aged 16 to 70—will sew branded dust bags for Maison David products.

The company provided the social enterprise with orders, raw materials, and equipment, creating a stable production load and new jobs. Some artisans learned sewing from scratch under the guidance of mentors. Today, production reaches 1000 dusters per month. The company plans to reach 2000 units and expand the product line to include more complex items, including knitwear.

"This project has been part of the Maison David production model from the very beginning," comments Alina Mieva, Director of Strategic Marketing and Brand Development for Rendez-Vous and Private Labels. "We receive a high-quality, in-house product, and our partners receive a stable volume of orders, which allows us to develop our workshops and ensure constant employment. Going forward, the brand aims not only to be inclusive but also to consistently strengthen its sustainability agenda in other projects."

The main characters in the Rendez-Vous social video are eight Artel masters: Alexander, Sonya, Tatyana, Alexey, Varya, Misha, Nikita, and Sasha. In the film, they talk about their first steps and fears, and the importance of doing their job well. They also talk about simply living life: laughing, falling in love, making plans, and growing in their profession.

"Happiness is made up of realized opportunities," comments Artel founder Andrey Tevkin. "We mistakenly believe that by preventing a person with a disability from working, we're showing love. In reality, we're depriving them of what's most important—freedom. When a large company like Rendez-Vous entrusts us with the actual production process, it shows that our work is truly valued. For people with disabilities, this is the best integration into society—through respect for their professional qualities, the opportunity to earn money, and the ability to realize their potential in a supportive environment."
