Rendez-Vous launches old shoe recycling program

Since April 20, Rendez-Vous chain of shoe, bag and accessory stores launched the old shoe recycling program, Give Your Shoes a Second Life. Anyone can bring their old or unnecessary shoes to one of the points of reception of the network and receive in return a discount coupon for buying new shoes in the Rendez-Vous store.

The Dmitriy RTI factory acted as a retail partner in the project, the plant took upon itself all the obligations for processing shoes. The plant’s specialists recycle old shoes into raw materials for the production of safe rubber coatings for sports and playgrounds and tracks.

The promotion started on April 20 in Rendez-Vous stores in Aviapark shopping center. In the future, this practice will be extended to all stores in the network, including regional ones. Information can be monitored on the website of the company rendez-vous.ru.

The trend towards responsible consumption and environmental awareness is currently supported by many retailers. The most active in this direction are Scandinavian companies. So in February of this year the same action in their Russian stores launched the Swedish brand of shoes Vagabond... Also in the stores of the Swedish chain of clothing, footwear and accessories H&M there is an action for the recycling of old clothes.
