Rockport opened a studio in Italy

The American company Rockport announced the opening of its own design studio Rockport Design Studio in the Italian city of Padua, one of the largest shoe clusters in the country. The studio will be headed by well-known shoe designer and new art director of the Rockport women's collection, Roberta Rossi, who has extensive experience in the development of women's shoe models.

Thus, the American brand Rockport plans to adopt the centuries-old tradition of creating models from hereditary Italian shoe makers and shoe manufacturers. Roberta Rossi, the heiress of the famous "shoe" dynasty, knows like no other the secrets of craftsmanship that her ancestors have accumulated over five generations. The models created by the Rossi family have been featured on many world catwalks, and now their inherent sophistication and elegant style is reflected in the Rockport collection for Spring 2014.

Rossi is enthusiastic about this collaboration: “I am very glad to join Rockport. I am sure that the combination of Italian traditions and innovative brand technologies will lead to successful cooperation. My colleagues at Rockport believe that this alliance will raise the brand to a much higher level. ”

Rockport's attention to footwear features such as maximum comfort and style has remained unchanged for over 40 years. In 2014, the women's collection will appear in an updated form, which, nevertheless, will retain the best achievements of the brand. The spring collection of next year will be especially feminine, but will remain traditionally comfortable and light. These trends will be especially vivid in the SEVEN to 7. line. The color scheme will be dominated by saturated shades of blue, terracotta, as well as dark blue, neon yellow and fuchsia inspired by the 70s of the XX century.
