66 years have passed since the Queen of Great Britain Elizabeth II wore the sandals of the French luxury brand Roger Vivier at her own coronation. After almost seven decades, the royal house once again inspired the brand to produce a chic model, writes Footwearnews.com.
Roger Vivier creative director Gherardo Felloni reviewed the archive of the fashion house and decided to rethink the 1953 model of the year. The sophisticated design of the new Royal sandals is distinguished by the fleur-de-lis floral pattern and heel inlaid crystal. The new model is part of the Roge Vivier spring'20 collection and was presented on Thursday at the brand show at Paris Fashion Week.
Another iconic model of the new Roger Vivier collection is handmade clogs with wooden soles. They are available in three colors - black, silver and hot pink, with the brand's signature crystal buckle on a patent leather shoe. The case when comfort and high fashion in the spirit of today go hand in hand.
Another star of the collection is Tiki Viv mule, the model uses a heel, which Mr. Vivier once developed for Marlene Dietrich. Feathers, raffia and rhinestones became the model's decorations.
