Russian manufacturer of polyurethane and rubber compounds to open a plant in Uzbekistan

The Kazan Synthetic Rubber Plant is going to open a synthetic production in Uzbekistan, in Chirchik, in the near future, aimed at the production of chemicals in demand for the shoe industry, for example, polyurethanes and rubber compounds, SPUTNIK Uzbekistan reports.

“With the rapid growth of footwear production, annual capacity is planned to reach 205 million pairs by the end of the reporting period, the industry needs large volumes of components and raw materials. It is worth adding that at the moment, polyurethane and rubber compounds are mainly imported from abroad. The opening of a new plant will allow localization of these products and significantly reduce the cost of footwear,” the company said.

Uzbekistan is considered by the Russian manufacturer as a priority for development, since it is located in the very heart of Central Asia, has convenient geography and great logistical capabilities.

The Association of Leather and Footwear and Fur and Fur Enterprises of Uzbekistan Uzcharmsanoat intends to help new synthetic production in establishing intersectoral cooperation with manufacturers of footwear, artificial leather and other parts of the leather and footwear industry of Uzbekistan, focusing on further interaction.

OAO Kazan Synthetic Rubber Plant is one of the leading companies in the Russian petrochemical industry. According to the manufacturer, the company produces high quality goods, which are used in various industries of the CIS countries and far abroad. At the moment, the plant produces more than 160 types of products.
