Russian startup Siberian for 2022 increased revenue by 60%, up to 65 million rubles
Siberian, a Russian manufacturer of cleaning and protective chemicals for clothing and footwear, has become one of the leaders in the sports equipment care segment in Russia after foreign competitors left the country. In 2022, the company earned 65 million rubles in revenue by selling 312 thousand units of products. Over the year, the figures increased by 60%.
“Over the past year, we have greatly increased our operating and financial performance, which became possible due to the conclusion of new contracts. Today we supply our products to all major sports chains, and for some of them we produce funds under their brands. Also, of course, we are represented on the OZON and Wildberries marketplaces. It became possible to reach such a high level thanks to the launch of our own production facilities in the Moscow region,” says Roman Grishin, co-founder and CEO of Siberian.
According to the co-founder and CTO of Siberian Mikhail Kondratenko, 2022 was a turning point for the company's business. “With the start of CBO, we had to give up a lot of things, for example, the sale of goods on the German Amazon, which we began to test. Established supply chains of raw materials were broken. But we persevered, we coped with the difficulties. Thanks to the opportunities that have opened up, in connection with the departure of many foreign players, last year we were able to launch production and become one of the leaders in the niche,” he notes.
The Siberian brand produces impregnations for clothing, shoes and accessories, lens and anti-fog cleaners, for the care of plastic and optical surfaces, equipment washing, down and wool clothes, cleaning foam, brushes, deodorants and odor neutralizers for shoes.
In 2021, Siberian sold 128 thousand units with a revenue of 40 million rubles. In 2023, SIBEARIAN expects to sell 1 million units of products and increase revenue to 175-225 million rubles. The company plans to expand the product line, focus on business development in Russia, as well as increase exports to Kazakhstan and Belarus.
Siberian, a brand of cleaning products for the care of shoes, clothing and sports equipment, was founded in 2018 by entrepreneur Roman Grishin and scientist, candidate of physical and mathematical sciences Mikhail Kondratenko.
