The Russian Union of Tanners and Shoemakers (RSKO) requested the Government of the Russian Federation to postpone the mandatory marking of shoes, which, according to the current decree, begins in Russia on July 1, 2020. In the light of the current economic situation, RSKO considers it optimal to postpone the introduction of mandatory shoe marking until 2022.
As we wrote earlier An initiative group from RSKO, headed by Vladimir Denisenko, General Director of Unichel Shoe Company JSC, was preparing a corresponding appeal to the Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin with a request to abolish the obligatory labeling of shoes and clothes. In support of the initiative, about 300 signatures of market participants were collected, a letter was sent to the Government of the Russian Federation.
In addition, the Director General of the Russian Union of Kozhevennikov and Shoe Workers Alexandra Andrunakievich during the online webinar “The market of shoes and accessories. New Reality. Estimates. Decisions ”, which took place in Runet at the Moshuz exhibition site on April 23, said that the RSKO continues to work on the issue of postponing the mandatory marking period and collects comments on technical issues related to interaction with the operator of the MDC marking system. She asked to send her comments to the union email rsko@rsko.ru, noting that representatives of the Russian Union of Clothing Manufacturers are also applying for the postponement of marking. The deadline for the introduction of mandatory labeling of clothing in Russia is set for January 1, 2021. According to her, both unions believe that the introduction of mandatory labeling, due to the difficult economic situation in the country and in the world, should be postponed until 2022.
