A collaboration between the St. Petersburg brand of premium handmade footwear rxbshoes and the multidisciplinary artist (also from the city on the Neva) Sergey Kretenchuk has been released.
The summer capsule of the brand includes slippers, mules and slippers made of velvet and velour with original embroidery. Sergey Kretenchuk created drawings with associative images specially for the brand, which became ornaments in the design of rxbshoes shoes.
He presented a whole world of funny images. Here a giraffe and a unicorn are riding in a bright car, butterflies and bees are circling above a girl with a flower head, a dolphin is frolicking in the summer rain, almost jumping to the cloud, and a black cat is next to a bouquet of multi-colored balloons.
The collection's color scheme matches its serene summer mood: scarlet, sky blue, white, black, yellow.
Sergey Kretenchuk uses ornament as a communication with the viewer, the artist uses ornament in his work on scenography, creates sketches for tattoos and pictures for manicure. "The same heroes of the ornament, getting into different situations in the life of their owner, will give him new emotions, and the number of combinations is limitless," he comments on his collaboration with rxbshoes.
And for the founder of the shoe brand Mila Razgulyaeva-Blagonravova, shoe art and visual art have been inseparable since the brand's birth. The brand annually releases joint capsule collections with contemporary Russian designers and artists, combining the traditions of handicraft shoemaking with contemporary art.
