The footwear market in the Russian Federation is growing

At present, the volume of the shoe market is $ 17 billion, or about 400-450 million pairs. About 45 million pairs of leather shoes are produced per year. Annual growth is equal to 16%.

The Russian shoe market continues to grow. According to experts, it is too early to talk about its glut. With a competent marketing policy, new brands have every chance of successfully competing with existing ones. However, in the future, projected market growth will be no more than 8-10%.

The growth of Russian shoe production lags behind the growth of consumer activity. There is a tendency to improve performance, however, the share of Russian manufacturers in the market is still very small. In Russia, 260 enterprises produce shoe products, while 90% of the products are produced by 50 large enterprises. Chinese brandless shoes occupy 60% of the Russian market. A few years ago, this figure was equal to 80%.
