The market for postamates in the next four years will grow several times

According to Qiwi analysts, the number of postamates in Russia may reach 2023 thousand by 24. The share of parcels delivered by postamata from online stores by this moment can reach 12%. Currently, it is 5%, - writes Kommersant. 

At the end of 2018, the number of pedestals in Russia was 5560, of which 1928 worked under the Qiwi brand, 1605 - PickPoint, 1031 - Ozon, 812 - Halva (owned by X5 Retail Group and Sovcombank). On average, about one order per day accounted for about 180 orders. At the end of 2019, the number of postamates should reach 10 thousand. 

X5 Retail Group announced its plans to place pedestals in all stores of its retail. Actively increasing the number of its postamates Ozon.ru. Currently, the number of Ozon Box postamata is about 1,8 thousand. In addition, the online store uses affiliate pedestals, as a result, the total network of Ozon.ru postamata is about 2,5 thousand. By the end of the year, this number should increase three times. Pick Point is going to increase the number of its peaks this year from 4,2 thousand to 7 thousand. 

The postamata market is keeping pace with the development of the online trading market in Russia, which is gaining more and more momentum every year. At the same time, consumers are willing to choose delivery of goods on a pedestal, rather than a courier, since this method provides greater freedom in time when receiving a parcel.
