Since January, the volume of duty-free import of goods into the territory of the EurAsEC will be halved

Since January 1 of 2019, the total weight of goods imported into the territory of the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union duty-free should not exceed 25 kg, and its value should not exceed 500 euros. 

This decision was made by the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission, the corresponding document was published on the website of the Eurasian Economic Union in early November.

Now, without paying duties, you can import goods up to 50 kg and cost up to 1500 rubles by car or train. The EurAsEC countries agreed to lower the thresholds back in December 2017, but it was assumed that the reduction would be gradual, and would reach the currently set standards only by 2021. However, the latter decision hastened the process.
