According to a number of sources in the fashion market, the Florentine brand Salvatore Ferragamo is not going to renew its contract with its current creative director Paul Andrew. The contract expires at the end of February, after the Salvatore Ferragamo Fall'21 collection is presented at Milan Fashion Week, writes Footwearnews.com.
However, the company did not respond to a direct question from WWD journalists about the extension of the contract with Paul Andrew, declining to comment.
Paul Andrew was appointed Creative Director of Salvatore Ferragamo in February 2019. The designer joined the Ferragamo team in September 2016 as Director of Women's Shoes.
In 2014, he became a CFDA / Vogue Fashion Fund winner, becoming the first shoe designer to receive such a high award. Paul Andrew spent almost ten years at Donna Karan, rising to the position of Vice President of Design, Footwear and Accessories. Prior to working with Karan, Andrew was a designer at Calvin Klein and Narciso Rodriguez. He also worked for Alexander McQueen.
