Earlier, from 2017 of the year, British designer Paul Andrew served as creative director of women's clothing at the Italian fashion house Salvatore Ferragamo, now he has been promoted to the creative director of the brand and will be responsible for all its areas.
The British designer quickly grew up in the Fashion House, to which he joined in 2016 as director of women's shoes, and a year later became the creative director of the entire women's direction. Prior to joining Ferrogamo, Paul Andrew worked for nine years as vice president of design, shoes, and accessories for Donna Karen.
The luxury brand Salvatore Ferragamo is closely associated with Hollywood. In 1915, Italian designer Salvatore Ferragamo opened his first custom-made shoe store in Santa Barbara. The design soon became popular with Hollywood stars, and Ferragamo became known as the "shoemaker for the stars." Among his clients are actresses Sophia Loren, Greta Garbo, Judy Garland, Marilyn Monroe and other movie stars. He created classic handmade cowboy boots for western films.
Today, the brand continues to influence Hollywood, creating shoes for the Cate Blanchet in the movie “Carol” and slippers for the Disney movie “Cinderella” in 2015.
In turn, Paul Andrew previously created shoes for entering the red carpet of such actors as Amal Clooney, Allison Williams, Emma Watson and others.
