Sberbank loans to franchisees

The Business Start project was launched in various regions of Russia to issue unsecured loans for franchises.

Sberbank of Russia began to give loans for opening a franchise business. An entrepreneur without work experience can receive from 100 thousand to 3 million rubles without collateral, but for this he will have to choose one of the franchises offered by Sberbank from the list.

Now this list contains 10 franchises, which Sberbank considered reliable enough for a newcomer to build a business with them. Only two of them relate to retail: BAON (retail, clothing), NEWFORM (retail, clothing for pregnant women), the rest - to the service sector.

Sberbank is ready to finance up to 70% of the project cost at a rate from 17,5% to 18,5% per annum for a period of 6 months to 3,5 years. A guarantee of an individual, a document confirming the franchisor’s consent to work with the entrepreneur and the absence of entrepreneurial activity from the borrower within 90 days are also required.

You can get such a loan far from every branch of Sberbank - in this project currently involved 80 branches in 33 cities of Russia, including Yekaterinburg, Irkutsk, Kazan, Krasnodar, Krasnoyarsk, Nizhny Novgorod, Novosibirsk, Omsk, Penza, Perm, Rostov-on-Don, Samara, St. Petersburg, Sochi, Stavropol, Tula, Ufa, Chelyabinsk and others. Moscow is not yet on this list, however, the departments participating in the program are in several cities of the Moscow Region: Balashikha, Zheleznodorozhny, Lyubertsy, Mytishchi, Odintsovo, Podolsk, Reutov, Troitsk, Khimki and Chekhov.

The pilot launch of the project will last six months, during which time Sberbank, according to preliminary data, plans to issue about 2,5 thousand loans. If the launch is successful, the bank will expand the number of partners and continue to develop this direction, the retail.ru website reports.
