Shanghai Fashion Week starts today
Dozens of local brands, as well as major global brands such as Vivienne Westwood and Moncler, will take part in the events of Shanghai Fashion Week. The fashion week will last for 12 days.
Vivienne Westwood's show is scheduled for October 17. The British brand, which remains true to the rebellious punk spirit of its founder, will be joined by London's KNWLS. The immersive Moncler Genius event will close Fashion Week on October 19.
Among the local brands set to show at the fashion week are Judyhua, Short Sentence, Damowang and Pantterfly, which will take center stage at the main venue of Xintiandi, a pedestrian area with high-end boutiques and restaurants. Young designers making their debut at Shanghai Fashion Week include Ya Yi, Hanqing Ding and JE Cai.
