The meeting was attended by members of the NOBS - representatives of companies participating in the Russian footwear market, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, the Association of Retail Companies (AKORT), the operator of the labeling system of the Center for the Development of Advanced Technologies (CRPT) and the online marketplaces Wildberries and Ozon.
The main topic of discussion was the problem of grey imports and counterfeit goods on the Russian market, which, in conditions of declining consumer demand, is becoming especially acute for bona fide participants.
Mandatory labeling, introduced under the auspices of combating illegal trade, did not solve the problem, but worsened the situation. The mass closure of shoe factories in Russia was a consequence of unequal conditions of competition.
At the meeting, measures were proposed that could be taken by the industry regulator to resolve the situation and preserve the domestic light industry.
NOBS will send an official proposal to the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation and expects the state to pay attention to the problem and show political will to solve it.
A pleasant moment of the meeting was the announcement of the release of a new book by shoe collector Nazim Mustafayev - an expanded version of his first book "812th Century Shoes. History of Fashion and Design". (The book contains 1900 shoe models from 2000 to XNUMX). It will go on sale in March.
