At the end of the academic year, a full-time Career Guidance program of the FASHION LEADERS / START project for high school students was held. Lectures on the diversity of professions in the fashion industry were given by experts and representatives of specialized universities in schools in Moscow, the Moscow Region, Ivanovo, St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region. The students were students of 8-11 grades.
More than five thousand people applied for participation in the Career Guidance program, among them: students of the final grades of general education schools, lyceums, and gymnasiums. The program includes 10 lectures on popular professions and competencies in the light industry from experts and representatives of specialized universities. High school students from different regions of the country attended face-to-face meetings, where they could ask questions and get a complete picture of the professions in the fashion industry, as well as find out what competencies are in demand in the labor market.
As part of the program, the Technopark of the A. N. Kosygin Russian State University (Technology. Design. Art) hosted the Face-to-face event, which was organized jointly with the FASHION NETWORK Association. Representatives of the textile industry of the light industry, as well as university teachers, pupils and students were invited to the meeting in order to establish contacts with employers. Representatives of companies expressed in what areas the industry is experiencing a shortage of personnel.
In the schools of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region, the St. Petersburg State University of Industrial Technologies and Design acted as a partner in the Career Guidance Program. The teachers of the university told the students about the opportunities to get different professions at the departments of the university. In the schools of Ivanovo together with the representative of the project lectures were held by teachers of the Ivanovo State Polytechnic University.
The project of the All-Russian competition of creative specialists in the fashion industry "FASHION LEADERS" / FASHION LEADERS is implemented using a grant from the President of the Russian Federation for the development of civil society, provided by the Presidential Grants Fund and the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives.
