Experts at TNS Russia concluded that Vkontakte surpasses all competitors in popularity in online spaces and among television channels, magazines and other media.
According to these data, during September 2014, 2,18 million people visited the pages of the social network every day, Yandex sites - 2,108 million, Google - 1,73 million, Mail.ru - 1,38 million. twice as high as the daily audience of federal TV channels: 1,06 every day watched Channel One, the same number - STS, 1,25 million - TNT, 0,82 - Russia 1 and 0,74 million - NTV. In other words, each of the four largest Internet services surpasses any of the federal TV channels in terms of a young audience.
If the calculations also take into account the audience of the older generation, and include people aged 12 to 64 in the data, then Yandex will become the most popular among Moscow residents, whose pages are visited every day by 4,3 million people. The second and third places are occupied by Channel One (3,9 million) and Russia 1 (3,4 million). Google is next in popularity (3,2 million). "VKontakte" in this rating occupied only the fifth place with 3,12 million users per day.
