Obuv Rossii took first place at the World Corporate Games
On September 7-9, Novosibirsk hosted the World Corporate Games for the first time. More than 1 people from 500 companies, such as Siberian Bank of Sberbank of Russia, Avtovaz, Sibeko, Elsib and others, took part in them. The regions were represented at the competition - Novosibirsk, Omsk, Yekaterinburg, Togliatti, etc. The Obuv Rossii team took first place in the competition and received the main prize - the World Corporate Games Cup.
The program of games in Novosibirsk included competitions in more than 20 sports, such as futsal, volleyball, basketball, athletics, as well as traditional disciplines such as paintball, tug of war, dominoes, backgammon, darts. On September 8, athletes from companies participated in the 3600 m race, which was held as part of the Siberian Running Festival.
The basketball games were bright and spectacular, in which the Obuv Rossii women's team fought against the men's teams from other companies and, in a tough fight in the final, nevertheless defeated the opposing team and won gold medals. Events on the paintball fields developed dynamically and rapidly, where the Obuv Rossii team demonstrated their tactical skills and won silver medals. No less memorable were the tug-of-war competitions, in which the Obuv Rossii women's team bravely resisted the heroes of the opposing teams.
Corporate games are one of the most important events in the world of mass sports. The first world corporate games took place in 1988 with San Francisco. At various times they were received by London, Geneva, Johannesburg, Montevideo, Melbourne, Aberdeen, Belfast, The Hague, Lille, Seville. In Russia, the World Corporate Games were first held in Moscow in 2010. The organizers of the event in Novosibirsk were the regional government together with the state corporation "Russian Technologies". The event was held with the support of the President of the Russian Federation.
The next World Corporate Games will be held in 2013 in St. Petersburg.
