Demand in the online clothing and footwear market grew by 20%

In the 1st quarter of 2015, demand in the clothing and footwear market grew by 20% compared to the 4th quarter of 2014. Such data were cited by the international Internet-commerce center Allbiz, helping businessmen find customers, and customers the best product offers. With an increase in the number of orders, the popularity of the online market fell by 35% compared to the 4th quarter of 2014. This indicates that one customer sends more requests to companies registered on the resource. Or customers who previously just came to view products and ask the price, thereby increasing indicators of interest in the market, but did not generate demand, began to leave orders, which means to be more active online.

Demand for domestic trade is about 78%, the rest falls on the trading partners of the Russian Federation - Ukraine and Kazakhstan. Russian companies are interested in customers from Bulgaria, Belarus and Turkey.

The largest number of requests in the 1st quarter were sent to companies from Moscow (27%), St. Petersburg brands accounted for 12% of the demand, and companies from the Moscow region received 5,6% of the requests. In addition, products from the Rostov Region (4,9%), Ivanovo (3,5%) and the Novosibirsk Region (3,3%) were in demand.

Most of all, Moscow companies were asked for women's and men's shoes, uniforms and women's clothing. The same categories were popular in St. Petersburg, and teenagers and children's clothing and footwear were bought from companies from the Rostov region. In the 1st quarter, men's clothing was popular among companies from the Ivanovo region. In general, as analysts at Allbiz note, the clothing and footwear market shows good growth dynamics online. Especially with regard to the number of orders, namely, they reflect the real demand. From the point of view of regional distribution of companies, the leaders are Moscow, the Moscow region and St. Petersburg. Companies from Rostov, Ivanovo, Novosibirsk, Sverdlovsk, Chelyabinsk regions, Krasnodar Territory and Nizhny Novgorod region are also quite active online. But taken together they generate fewer queries than Moscow alone - 22% versus 27% for metropolitan companies. A similar picture of character for many markets - even having production outside of Moscow, entrepreneurs register the company as a capital company.

Let us remind you that Allbiz is an international e-commerce center operating in 26 languages. The resource provides information on 20 million goods and services from 1,3 million companies from 90 countries. The geography of visitors covers the whole world. The number of orders exceeds 10 thousand per day. The company's offices are located in 13 countries: Ukraine, Russia, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Poland, Romania, Greece, Egypt, India, China.
