The deadlines for marking shoe residues have been extended until June 15, 2021

The deadlines for marking shoe residues have been extended until June 15, 2021. Those footwear market participants who did not manage to sell unmarked shoe leftovers before July 1, 2020, can now mark them before June 1, 2021, and put them into circulation until June 15, 2021.

New rules extending the period of labeling and introduction of footwear residues into circulation were approved by Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 560 of April 8, 2021.

According to this resolution, the participants in the turnover of footwear have the right to store and transport footwear in their possession, use, disposal as of July 1, 2020 (the remains of footwear), label them with identification means for subsequent sale and enter them into turnover no later than June 15, 2021.

In the event that a participant in the turnover of footwear does not submit, within the specified time, information about the introduction of footwear residues into the monitoring information system, the marking codes for such goods shall be canceled.

Recall that wholesale and retail sale of unmarked footwear in Russia is prohibited from July 1, 2020. To date, more than 82 thousand participants in the turnover of footwear are registered in the "Honest Mark" marking system. More than 2,3 billion marking codes have been issued.
