The brand of socks with a non-trivial design St.Friday Socks was accused of immoral behavior and was fined in a shopping center in Yaroslavl, where a small island with St.Friday Socks products is located, - Sergey Tonkov, founder and manager of the sock brand, wrote about this on his Facebook account.
“The law does not prohibit the use of mat on products. But the open display of such a product in the trading floor can be equated with advertising, and here the restrictions of the law on advertising come into play, explains Sergey Tonkov. There are several models of socks, gloves and badges in the St.Friday Socks collection that can fall under such definitions: "go an yuh", "healthy lifestyle eto pizdezh" and two suffragettes with "go nah". The administration of the shopping center in Yaroslavl decided that the presence of such inscriptions on products was beyond the bounds of decency, and drew up an act with the verbatim text "immoral behavior". The brand had to pay a fine and take additional action. “We ordered stickers 18+ and we will glue them on socks, gluing texts that can cause fear and horror. In the meantime, we will add advice to stores to use paper tape, ”writes Tonkov.
