The payment service WeChat Pay, which allows you to pay for goods using the popular in China mobile application, has become available in Moscow department stores TSUM and GUM. Earlier, a similar opportunity based on the AliPay service appeared in the Tsvetnoy department store.
WeChat Pay operates on the basis of the WeChat messenger, created by the Chinese Internet giant Tencent. Almost a billion Chinese citizens installed the messenger, more than half of which pay for various goods and services through it.
Now Chinese buyers in Moscow can pay for purchases through WeChat Pay in RMB at the rate of the Central Bank of China. Limits on purchases are $ 10 thousand per check and $ 20 thousand per day from one electronic wallet. There are no monthly or annual limits.
In the near future, a similar service will be available at the Leningrad Trade House (DLT) in the center of St. Petersburg.

The partner of the Chinese service in our country was the international payment system Sendy, which is also based on the technology of payment through a QR code. Russia has become the 17th country where we can use WeChat Pay. At the same time, the Central POSX cash program developed by Luxe Retail is used in TsUM and GUM. As part of a partnership with Sendy, Luxe Retail specialists completed all the necessary improvements to the program and thereby ensured the technological possibility of accepting payments through the Chinese service at the TSUM and GUM ticket offices.
Earlier, Luxe Retail, which specializes in providing IT services for retail enterprises, implemented the function of accepting payments using another payment service - AliPay - in the Tsvetnoy department store in Moscow. Tsvetnoy department store began accepting AliPay QR codes at all cash desks at the end of 2017. Since then, the service is available in the basic software for all Luxe Retail customers who have installed the POSX cash program. This IT solution was implemented by Luxe Retail in conjunction with the Mobi.Money group of companies.
