Mushroom leather bag appeared in the Stella McCartney collection

A substitute for genuine leather, the innovative Mylo material, made from mycelium, the root system of mushrooms, is gaining popularity in the fashion world. The well-known animal and environmental activist, British fashion designer Stella McCartney, also drew attention to this material.

The Stella McCartney Frayme bag, limited to 100 pieces and individually numbered, will be the first luxury accessory produced using Mylo and will be available only in Stella McCartney stores. It is expected that in 2023 the brand will release a wider collection of products from Mylo.

Recall that the first brand to use "mushroom leather" in the production of shoes was Adidas, which released adidas Stan Smith sneakers with Mylo uppers last year.

Canadian retailer Lululemon also announced the release of two bags made of this material in February of this year.
