The American brand of sportswear and sports equipment, The North Face, has attracted British designer Christopher Reburn to create a collection of bags sewn from recycled camping tents, writes Highsnobiety.com.
Three bags - a bag on a cord, a grocery bag and an IKEA bag for carrying things - are designed in a three-color range of black, yellow and white. The inscription “REDUCED REUSED RECYCLED RÆBURN” (translated from the English language: “REDUCED, REVISED, RECYCLED, REBURN”) is started with a running line along the straps of the bags. Each bag is made of different parts of the tent, which makes each item unique.
Christopher Reburn declared himself as an adherent of eco-design long before this topic became fashionable. He is known for creating fashionable clothing and accessories from recycled surplus fabric. At the end of 2018, Rebern became the creative director of the Timberland shoe brand, and it is no coincidence that in the Timberland collection for the fall 2019 season, a model of men's shoes with an element of recycled plastic appears, which we wrote about earlier.
By launching a collection of bags with The North Face, the designer continues to develop the theme of eco-design. Prices for bags in the British online store The North Face - from 80 to 135 pounds.
