Timberland presented the Future 73 collection of clothing and footwear on its website, created by British designer Christopher Raeburn, who currently heads the brand's creative workshop. In addition to padded jackets, track pants and T-shirts, the new collection includes tall trekking boots inspired by the classic yellow Timberland boot, which celebrates its 50th anniversary this year.
Raeburn drew inspiration for the design of the new model from parachute canopies, and it is no coincidence that the designer is known for creating garments from ripstop nylon or parachute fabric. The boot's monochrome gray upper is made from durable climbing rubber and recycled nylon, with taped seams.
The shoe features a removable inner boot with PrimaLoft® insulation that can be removed and worn as a slipper (there is a silicone screen print on the outside of the foot for added traction). The boots feature a durable rubber outsole for traction on any or uneven surfaces.
The price of a pair of Timberland x RAEBURN Future73 boots on the brand's website is £240.
