International footwear, apparel and accessories brand TJ Collection has unveiled its first line of apparel that has been adapted for the metaverse on the Roblox platform. The brand plans to increase its presence in digital fashion and release a virtual capsule collection.
For TJ Collection, the development of the digital fashion direction is not only a marketing ploy, but also a way to increase the company's capitalization. The beginning of the active work of the brand in a new market for the industry is also associated with the specifics of the audience, which is increasingly ready to invest in virtual fashion, as well as with the aim of attracting the younger generation. The main feature of the virtual collection will be the exclusivity of the image.
“The brand has always combined intellect and art, the digitalization of which has become an integral part of our daily life: from stickers in your favorite messenger to a digital painting in a museum. During the pandemic, digital technologies have already helped us to transfer work, negotiations and many other production processes to the virtual world. Therefore, digital fashion can give impetus to the growth of the fashion industry as a whole,” said Azat Akhmetov, General Director of TJ Collection.
According to Bloomberg, by 2024, the income from goods sold in the metaverse could be about $800 billion. In turn, JP Morgan believes that this figure could approach $1 trillion a year. By 2030, the market capitalization associated with the metaverse could reach $5 trillion, according to analysts at McKinsey & Company.
