Italian luxury group Tod's has announced the departure of its CEO, Umberto Macchi di Cellere. This position will be filled by Chairman Diego Della Valle and Vice Chairman Andrea Della Valle. The board of the company decided to reduce the number of co-CEOs from three to two, with the result that Umberto Macchi di Cellere left Tod's after four years in this position, writes Worldfootwear.com.
The two Della Valle brothers will now share the position of the group's CEO, and will have equal powers. In a statement, the Tod's group thanked di Cellere for his contributions in recent years, especially noting his contributions to managing the crisis over the Covid-19 pardemia.
To speed up decision-making time, Tods introduced a new position of general manager, to which Simone Cattaneo was appointed, who has worked with L'Oréal, Burberry and Christian Dior.
The Italian luxury group began to make major changes to its management team in 2018 in response to a changed strategy. At the time, global CEO Claudio Castiglioni and CEO Stefano Sinchini left Tod's after 33 years with the company.
