Boot Design Trends for Fall/Winter 26

The recent Paris Fashion Week set the trends in boot design for the Fall/Winter 26 season.

One of the most noticeable trends has been the dropped shaft of thigh-high boots with textured elements. They are featured in the collections of Jimmy Choo, Balenciaga, and Vivienne Westwood.

Many brands decided to experiment with embellishments. At Roger Vivier, creative director Gherardo Felloni presented velvet boots embroidered with sequins and beads. At Prada, prominent models included boots completely covered in feathers or with beaded embroidery throughout the upper.

Over-the-knee boots are featured in many brands' collections. Chloe's are deliberately chunky, Chanel's are form-fitting and feminine, and Gianvito Rossi's are leopard-print.

Animal prints and textures also remain popular, as does fur in footwear. Boots with fully fur uppers are featured in the Casadei collection.
