The work of artisans plan to legalize

United Russia, together with the Agency for Strategic Initiatives (ASI), proposed a bill regulating the rules for the work of artisans. It is planned to legalize the work of artisans with the help of patents for an average of 10–20 thousand rubles. in year. In return, they will be able to count on a high pension.

Craftsmen will be considered citizens who do not have employees and are not registered as individual entrepreneurs, but who have received a patent for the right to engage in craft activities. In this case, artisans will not need to go through the process of obtaining IP status, it will be enough to apply to the Craft Chamber for a patent.

According to statistics, about five million people are engaged in crafts; they are not registered anywhere. The definition of handicraft will apply to textile, sewing, leather and shoe production and repair, the production of wooden, glass and metal products, jewelry and musical instruments. In addition, builders and repairmen working individually can be artisans.
