Today, the Bank of Russia hosted a round table in an online format on the topic: "Consumer demand and price dynamics for non-food products: main trends and prospects until the end of the year".
The event was attended by representatives of industry unions that unite manufacturers of non-food products, as well as retail chains. CEO National Shoe Union (NOBS) Yan Belyaev made a presentation to the participants on the current situation in the leather and footwear industry and shoe retail. He spoke about the dynamics of footwear sales, the factors affecting the price dynamics and changes in consumer demand. Eduard Reutsky, Financial Director of Esperance LLC (Econika brand, NOBS member), also made a presentation.
During the discussion, the round table participants discussed the following issues:
- current dynamics of sales by categories of goods (in monetary and physical terms) and expectations until the end of the year;
- the main factors determining the dynamics of prices for consumer goods in 2023;
- transformation in consumer behavior, whether adaptation to new brands has ended;
- changes in the range of goods (main reasons), the duration of the process of reorientation to new suppliers.
