CenterObuv plans to develop a network abroad

The CenterObuv company intends to enter the markets of the CIS countries and far abroad. The retailer plans to develop, first of all, in Ukraine, the stores will operate under a franchise scheme.

“The shops are not open yet, but the objects have already been selected. In total, this year we plan to open about 25 stores in Ukraine, ”said Andrey Nesterov, General Director of TsentrObuvi. The decision to enter the markets of other CIS countries will be made based on the results of work in Ukraine, he added.

What countries of the far abroad are we talking about, A. Nesterov did not specify, noting that the company is working in one of the countries of Eastern Europe.

To date, the CenterObuvi chain has 575 stores with a total area of ​​almost 180 thousand square meters. In 2011, the company plans to open about 250 stores (in 2010, the network of retailers increased by 160 outlets).

The company's revenue for the 2010 year amounted to $ 720 million, which is 37% more than in the 2009 year. In the 2011 year, according to the company's forecast, sales will grow by almost 45%. Last year, the company sold 26,4 million pairs of shoes; in 2011, sales are planned to increase to 34 million pairs.
