TsentrObuv tests RFID technology

The Russian footwear retail chain CenterObuv has entered into an agreement with the Retail Branding and Information Solutions (RBIS) division of Avery Dennison to implement the first pilot project to use RFID technology in the retail trade of footwear and apparel in Russia.

The RFID implementation program is designed to improve the visibility of stocks and significantly reduce stock outages and lack of stocks.

“We see that the technologies we have are not able to properly serve our needs, taking into account the growth of the business,” said Andrey Nesterov, General Director of CenterObuv. - RFID helps us to receive the necessary information about the availability of a particular item in any store, wherever it is. Thanks to this innovative technology, we can review our entire range, which exceeds 2500 items, and better satisfy the needs of our customers. After the pilot launch, we will consider using this solution in all our stores. "

“We are delighted that TsentrObuv will implement the first project to use RFID technology in Russia,” said Shawn Neville, President of Avery Dennison RBIS. “We are confident that this pilot project will help TsentrObuv to improve warehouse management. reserves, increase their visibility and reduce losses. "

Quickstart solution from Avery Dennison RBIS is used in one of the CENTRO stores, which are part of the TsentrObuv group of companies. The turnkey solution prints and encodes RFID tags and tags at Centro's distribution centers to help track inventory, ensure replenishment, more efficient inventory and prevent waste.
