Prices for shoes in the next six months will increase by 11%

According to the World Footwear Business Conditions Survey for November 2022, shoe prices will increase by 11% over the next six months. The online survey was conducted in November 2022. It was attended by experts in the shoe market from different countries, writes Worldfootwear.com.

“We received 91 valid responses, 57% from Europe, 22% from Asia, 8% and 9% from the Americas respectively, and 4% from Africa. Approximately 30% of respondents are involved in footwear production (manufacturers), 18% in footwear trading and distribution (traders), and 52% in other footwear-related activities such as trade associations, consultancy, journalism, etc. .

The views of experts on the change in prices for shoes in their countries over the next six months turned out to be quite optimistic. Most respondents expect strong price increases (between 5% and 20%), and three out of every four people believe they will rise. At the same time, larger organizations expect prices to stabilize or decline, rather than rise. On average, members of the expert group expect prices to rise by 11% over the next six months.
