CRPT identified 10 million violations in the footwear market in the first half of 2022.

The operator of the goods labeling system "Center for the Development of Advanced Technologies" identified about 10 million violations in the footwear market in the first half of 2022. According to analysts of the "Honest Sign" labeling system, the cost of goods with recorded violations is equivalent to 25 billion rubles, and the minimum amount of fines in case of the corresponding decision of the control and supervisory authorities is estimated at 10 billion rubles, writes Rossiyskaya Gazeta.

About 13% of companies selling shoes tried to sell or put into circulation products with violations - we are talking about 19,5 thousand companies. In total, more than 94 thousand organizations engaged in trade and footwear production are registered in the system.

The most common violations are the sale of counterfeit products and an incorrectly issued certificate of conformity, which confirms the safety of products.

According to the National Scientific Competence Center (NSCC) in the field of countering the illegal circulation of industrial products and the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, in the first quarter of 2022, 197,4 thousand pairs of shoes were seized from illegal circulation. Compared to the fourth quarter of 2021, this figure increased by 2,4 times, when 84 pairs were seized. Meanwhile, the NNCC did not record a sharp increase in the volume of counterfeit products.

At the same time, Vladislav Zaslavsky, Director of the Department of Product Labeling and Legalization of Product Circulation of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, noted that the Wildberries online retailer, which receives complaints from consumers and representatives of communities, including the union of tanners, is becoming a sales channel for counterfeit products.
