A retrospective exhibition of the world-famous Spanish shoe designer Manolo Blahnic will be held in St. Petersburg at the Main Headquarters of the State Hermitage from April 28 to July 23.
The exhibition will feature 30 author's drawings and 214 shoes from the archive of Manolo Blahnik, the collection will tell about the work of the master for 45 years. The designer’s works will be arranged in seven thematic categories - nature, gala, art and architecture, heart, geography, materials.
Visitors will see including models dedicated to specific historical figures - from Alexander the Great to singer Rihanna, as well as shoes-impressions of distant lands; shoes that embodied the images of horses and panthers, motifs of strawberries and cacti; shoes inspired by the work of great artists - Picasso, Matisse, Rothko.
