Luxury brand Berluti has new creative director

The luxury brand of clothes, shoes and accessories Berluti, part of the LVMH group, has appointed a new creative director, he was French designer of Colombian descent Haider Ackermann.

In this position, he replaced Alessandro Sartori, who left the company this year and headed the creative department of Ermenegildo Zegna.

Haider Ackermann has been producing clothes under his own brand since 2003. However, he believes that this fact will not prevent him from being successful as the chief designer of Berluti. “I think that after my screening no one will have any questions as to why I am in this position,” he said. The designer's first show as creative director at Berluti will take place in January 2017 as part of Paris Men's Fashion Week.
