The famous fashion designer, founder of the Givenchy Fashion House, died at the age of 91.
Hubert de Givenchy founded his own fashion house in 1948 at the age of 25. He headed the Fashion House until 1995, after which he transferred it to the management of designer John Galliano.
The main model and muse of the master, who brought him worldwide fame, was the American film actress Audrey Hepburn. The creative union of the fashion designer and the movie star lasted almost 40 years. Another face at Givenchy Fashion House was Jacqueline Kennedy. Also regular customers of Givenchy were actresses Maria Callas, Marlene Dietrich, Greta Garbo, Grace Kelly.
