Under Armor, a fashion brand of sportswear and shoes, noted that fitness control is a very popular feature in smartphones and decided to integrate it directly into running sneakers, writes techcrunch.com.
For the first time, the brand equipped the CES sneakers model, which were released last year, with this function. Apparently, the novelty was a success, because Under Armor decided to continue the development of this direction, and released two new models of sneakers Hovr Phantom and Hovr Sonic, equipped with the same system.
The top of the Hovr Phantom sneakers is made of perforated suede, which is crowned with a stretch fabric collar. The top of the Hovr Sonic model, which is designed for long-distance running, is made of cotton stretch material.
Gadgets are built into the soles of sneakers, among them - a bluetooth module, an accelerometer that allows you to measure acceleration, a gyroscope. According to the company, the battery built into the sneakers should be enough for the entire life of the pair.
Gadgets start working as soon as a person in sneakers starts moving. The system is synchronized with the smartphone through the special application Under Armor MapMyRun, thanks to which you can track the distance traveled, step width, rhythm, and thus these indicators can be adjusted.
