Japanese streetwear brand Undercover celebrated its 35th anniversary with a mesmerizing show. Designer Jun Takashi reimagined his collection from XNUMX years ago, attempting to trace the changes in design over time. The collection expressed his love for the “godmother of punk rock” Patti Smith and the plush creations of French artist Anne-Valérie Dupont.
As Takashi himself said of the collection, “The design was developed through trial and error, based on the idea of what Patti Smith would look like if she wore clothes resembling handmade plush toys.”
The soft toys materialized in the form of down jackets with soft legs and faces sprouting out, giving new meaning to the term 'teddy bear coat', as well as on a couple of glamorous, glossy down party dresses and in some shoe designs.
The guests of the show were immersed in a very creative atmosphere, where art created fashion. And I would like to emphasize the shoes of the new Undercover collection, everything that is presented deserves attention - from fantasy to simply catchy and conceptual.
