In place of the well-known conceptual space with the All Saints designer clothing collection in the Tsvetnoy Department Store in the capital, a new concept store has appeared, where you can find, among other things, a collection of original handmade bags and shoes by the Spanish brand Hereu Studio.
Hereu Studio founders José Bartolome and Albert Escribano once designed accessories for Zara, and in 2014 decided to launch their own brand. Their first collection featured just four pairs of shoes – the designers describe them as “interpretations of traditional Balearic shoes with a touch of modernity.”
Something traditionally Spanish is preserved in the brand's products to this day. Made from soft lambleather, these summer sandals have a braided, knotted upper that gives the shoe a "workshop shoe" feel. Other models are reminiscent of the style of resort shoes of the 50s, the so-called "fisherman's sandals" in various interpretations. This somewhat ridiculous shoe is recognized as one of the trends of the year.
A frequent element of the design of Hereu Studio are deliberately careless stitches, as if connecting the leather upper and lower. Artificial seams are also present in the design of ankle boots and boots, shoes and loafers ... both in the women's and men's collections. This element can also be seen in the collection of bags, sometimes reminiscent of the shape of a bun with an elegant confectionery finish.
In a word, something very authentic, a little strange, deliberately crafty flashes in the style of the brand, which allowed Hereu Studio to attract the attention of fashion concept stores such as Opening Ceremony, Matchesfashion and Dover Street Market in the first two years of its existence. Now shoes and handbags of the Spanish brand are available in the Tsvetnoy Department Store in Moscow. Prices for bags reach 52 thousand rubles, the price of a pair of women's sandals is 40-50 thousand rubles.
